In April 2007, Dresser-Rand acquired the Gimpel line of valves. Gimpel started producing valves in 1948. Since then they have expanded their original steam design used by the nation's turbine suppliers to include safe, reliable emergency shut-down and control valves for marine applications (aircraft and submarines), and for the power and the oil and gas industries.
